Biography

I completed a M.Sc. in Physics (Biophysics) at the Technische Universität München with the major focus of my courses in the field of bio-medical and soft matter physics.

Having worked in a medical physics group throughout my degree I joined the clinical medical physics staff in the radiotherapy department at the Klinikum rechts der Isar in Munich until starting a PhD at the Institute of Cancer Research in October 2014. My PhD project focusses on modelling and quantifying the biological response to combination treatments of focused ultrasound mediated hyperthermia and radiotherapy. This translational work spans from implementing a systems oncology simulation platform to performing biological experiments for these treatment combinations.
