Tim Mason obtained a BSc and PhD in Chemistry from Southampton University and spent two years in the USA at Amherst College. He worked at York and Bradford Universities before joining Lanchester Polytechnic (now Coventry University) where he developed the then new subject of sonochemistry and has since published 14 books on the subject.
From 1991 to 2014 he was president of the European Society of Sochemistry and helped found “Ultrasonics Sonochemistry”. later to become Editor in Chief. He holds honorary chairs at universities in Chongqing, Nanjing, Lviv and Kazan.
His interests include environmental protection, food technology, health and materials.
