Petros Mouratidis

Institute of Cancer Research

Biography

Petros is a cell biologist who is interested in the cytotoxic effects of therapeutic ultrasound on cancer.

Petros has investigated the biological and immunological effects of therapeutic ultrasound, the suitability of Thermal dose as the correct parameter to describe HIFU treatments in the clinic, and the feasibility of combining hyperthermia with targeted therapies to treat cancer.

Overall Petros’s work has contributed to the understanding of the mechanisms by which novel anti-cancer treatments confer their cytotoxic effects and how cancer cells can adapt to escape cell death.
