My background is in biomedical and biophysics engineering.
I first worked with focused ultrasound during my Masters internship in 2012, at the University of Virginia, in the treatment of pleural mesothelioma using either radiofrequency ablation or focused ultrasound under MRI guidance. I then moved to London, to the Institute of Cancer Research, for my PhD, where I studied the combination of focused ultrasound and radiotherapy for cancer treatment.
I am currently a post-doctoral research at the same Institute, now investigating the potential of HIFU in immunotherapy.
