Dr David Sinden, PhD

Biography

Dr David Sinden is a senior research scientist at NPL. He is an applied mathematician working in propagation of ultrasound in biomedical applications, thermal modelling in the presence of vasculature, image processing and texture analysis as well as cavitation and hydrophone modelling.

He is the lead author on over ten papers, and has published a book chapter on treatment planning for therapeutic ultrasound.

He is a member of the BSI and leads a new work item within IEC Technical Committee 87 Working Group 6 on “Measurement-based simulation for high pressure fields in water and other media”.
